Community Presentation Terms
Thank you for sharing our materials with your community. These terms explain how you may use them. By downloading or presenting the materials, you agree to these terms.
1. The license
Our presentation slides, speaker notes, handouts, flyers, bulletin inserts, and announcement materials ("Materials") are © Family Legacy Empowerment Project and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
In plain language: you may share and present the Materials for free, as long as you credit us, don't use them commercially, and don't change them.

In addition to the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, we give you permission to:
- Add your organization's name or logo to the designated area of the title slide
- Add your event's date, time, and location to flyers and bulletin inserts in the designated fields
- Print the Materials for distribution to attendees
Translations require our written approval. Please contact info@familylegacyempowerment.org. This helps us make sure every language version stays accurate.
3. What's not permitted
You may not:
- Edit, remove, or reword any content, including disclaimers, copyright notices, and footers
- Present the Materials as your own work
- Charge admission or fees for presentations using the Materials, or sell the Materials
- Use the Materials to give legal advice about any person's specific situation
- Use the Materials to promote, market, or solicit clients for any legal, financial, insurance, funeral, or estate-related services
- Distribute modified versions of the Materials
4. Our name and logo
The Family Legacy Empowerment Project name, logo, and tagline are our trademarks. The Creative Commons license does not cover them. You may display them only as they appear in the Materials. You may not use them in a way that suggests we partner with, sponsor, or endorse your organization, event, or services, unless we've agreed in writing.
5. Not legal advice
The Materials are for educational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. Presenting them does not create an attorney-client relationship between anyone and us, or between attendees and any presenter. Hosts and presenters are responsible for their own events and statements.
6. No warranty
The Materials are provided "as is." Laws change and vary by state. We work to keep the Materials accurate, but we make no guarantees about completeness or accuracy, and we are not responsible for how the Materials are used.
7. Updates
We update the Materials and these terms from time to time. Current versions are always at familylegacyempowerment.org/present. Please use the latest version when you present.
8. If something goes wrong
If you are not following these terms, we may ask you to correct or stop your use. Your permission to use the Materials ends automatically if you don't.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
